We sometimes hire groomers but they must meet our high standards of professional dog grooming. In most cases they will need to do some on the job training to understand the quality and styles our customers expect. We also on occation will take someone with no experience and teach them as they gain the practical skills needed to become a professional Dog groomer.

If you have a breed with continuous growth hair and you dog comes in Matted: if requested that we save hair, we will do it only if safe for the dog. We will not dematt areas that are uncomfortable or dangerous for a dog.
We honor the comfort and well being of the animal first.
If a dog has a continuous growth hair and repeatedly comes into the shop matted in a certain area  or area's we are not going todematt and leave long hair in those area's to matt again.  
We encourage owners to do what grooming they can between professional groomings and if they are unable to keep the coat up we try to be practical in what type of trim is best for the dog.
Long coat can be beautiful but not if it gets matted, dirty and locks in odor. 

If you have a double coated, short or flat coated dog we DO not Clip these dogs down,  Our process does 3 or 4 stages of removing dead hair, during: prebath treatment, bath,  blow dry(or sometimes referred to as Fluff drying)  and During the final finish.  
People think it does no harm to shave these dogs, but it is not good for the coat in the long haul. When it grows out it causes thicker coat, more shedding or in some breeds completely distroys the hair folicle and hair does not grow back. 
With a double coated dog there is an occassional exception in cases where the coat is so tightly packed clipping close to the skin is all that can be done, in these cases ,follow-up care is extremely important to  ease the dogs skin and hair folicles back into a normal coat.
